The Manufacturing Engineer - Welding is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for supporting and optimizing welding operations across the facility. This position plays a key role in driving production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the welding department.

You'll be involved in everything from weld fixture design and process development to programming and equipment specification, supporting a wide range of welding methods including MIG, TIG, spot, and flash welding. In addition, this role partners closely with teams across tube fabrication and assembly to ensure seamless production flow.

This engineer will take the lead in identifying and resolving quality and process challenges, analyzing production issues, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and elevate product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement welding processes, systems, and tooling
  • Engineer and procure weld fixtures to improve productivity and consistency
  • Evaluate and improve existing welding processes through documentation and optimization
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues on the production floor
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency of both labor and workspace
  • Provide hands-on support to production and maintenance teams, including machine setup and in-process inspection
  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams, including Sales and Project Management, supporting customer visits and technical discussions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with robotic MIG welding in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on producing quality results on time
